YWAM SOLOMONS SUPPORT

Supporting the work of YWAM Solomon Islands

EQUIPPING

YWAM Solomons are training the next generation in the Solomon Islands to lead the nation into a sustainable future. We focus on personal growth and practical appropriate technology tools.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

We are an important participant in the development of the Solomons with a high success rate. By working 100% volunteraly ourselves, we get help from the village more easily, which builds local ownership.

SAILBOAT VISION

We have a vision to reach out broader in the Solomons and beyond with practical aid. We are currently purchasing a traditional sailboat from the Philippines and equipping her for use.

YOU CAN HELP!

The Solomon Islands is one of the poorest countries in the Pacific and YWAM Solomons is part of leading this country towards a sustainable future.

THE SAILBOAT PROJECT

YWAM Solomons has a vision to use sailboats to reach further in the Solomon Islands and beyond

We have bought a Wharram Tama Moana and equipping her for use as a first step into this exciting vision

YWAM Solomons has been around for over 20 years and consists of mainly local volunteers

The beginning

YWAM Solomon Islands was founded as a charitable trust in 1995, and the base was established on its current location in 2000.

Development

The base has been constantly evolving with new buildings, solar system, water tower and biogas. The vision is to be a sustainable model for other places and communities.
